Alain de Botton quote - life in a digital age

As a founding member of The Epoch and the originator of a project I call New Age Christianity, I have to say that Alain de Botton has quickly become one of my favorite communicators.

Why?

Because he beautifully articulates so many of the challenges that humanity is facing today, and those challenges just happen to line up perfectly with the ‘solutions’ I’m personally trying to create. The Epoch, New Age Christianity, Belief IQ, and other projects I’m attempting to launch are all geared towards filling in the ‘gaps’ of our human experience that Alain exposes in this short 20-minute talk.

Someday I hope to meet Alain and sit down over a meal together. We may have different views about God or politics or a great many peripheral issues, but this perspective on the value of deeper meaning and its place in a digital age is all I need to hear to know that we are principally cut from the same ‘cloth’, and that he is, indeed, Epoch.
